Recover FTP Password in Filezilla

You connect to a FTP server recently with filezilla but forgotten the password ? You can easily recover it using that tip :
This work if you was recently connected using the quick connexion :

This list containing by default the 10 last connections, to see the details of this list find the recentservers.xml files, you can find it :

 

– On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\NAME_OF_YOUR_ACCOUNT\Application Data\FileZilla

– On Windows Vista: C:\Users\NAME_OF_YOUR_ACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla

– On Windows Seven: C:\Users\NAME_OF_YOUR_ACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla

– On Linux : ~/home/NAME_OF_YOUR_ACCOUNT/.filezilla

 

If you don’t find the path verify you’ve activate the hidden files visibility ;)

 

Once you got the file, open it with notepad, other text edit software or web browser and you’ll see the 10 last servers with ID and passwords associated !
